Illustration Friday ..."Metropolis"

Metropolis

A thousand windows and staggered doors,

Divided rooms and chaotic floors,

Places so intriguing, waiting to be explored.

Never know what you may find,

Hidden inside the metropolis of your mind.

Illustration Friday..."Creature"

Creatures of habit,

Creatures of customs, traditions and routine,

Interwoven into us forever,

No longer human, just a machine.

Illustration Friday....."Book"

Book of life

Life, is a book I write,

A mirror to my soul.

It weaves and wanders,

Falters and flounders,

Every chapter slowly unfolds,

A magical story told.

Illustration Friday....."Puzzled"

Puzzled

I climb the spiral staircase, one step at a time,

I seem to walk in circles, morning, noon and night.

Nothing ever changes, yet nothing is the same,

So subtle are my footsteps, yet I falter again.

Peaceful is the tread, slippery is the edge,

With laughter and joy, or despair sharp as a knife,

Every step leaves me puzzled,

On the spiral staircase of life.

Illustration Friday...."Prepare"

Prepare wisely,

Life will leave you unprepared mostly.

Search sensibly,

What you search for may be spontaneous usually.

Dream carefully,

That cherished dream may be meaningless finally.

Illustration Friday...."Fuel"

The monk and the Flame

Did you fuel the fire,

The restless dance of desire,

Leaving smoldering embers,

Like smoky hollow chambers,

Burning within your heart...

Or

Did you light the lamp

Like a soothing peaceful stream,

  A tranquil diffusing dream,

To make you surrender,

Like a monk,

Saying a silent Prayer....

Illustration Friday...." Disguise"

 Think...

Do we live our lives,

In disguise,

Like puppets on a string?
