Heights

From the jagged heights of the majestic Himalayas

To the depths of serenity ....walk silently

... walk alone.

Puzzled

I climb the spiral staircase, one step at a time,

I seem to walk in circles, morning, noon and night.

Nothing ever changes, yet nothing is the same,

So subtle are my footsteps, yet I falter again.

Peaceful is the tread, slippery is the edge,

With laughter and joy, or despair sharp as a knife,

Every step leaves me puzzled,

On the spiral staircase of life.

Voices Unknown

In a room I sit alone,

In the company of voices unknown,

Whispers that seem so loud, so vocal,

Exploding in my head, so real so soulful.

A haze of figures float by,

Whirling, talking as they fly,

Shapes that melt, faces that endure,

I see them closely...the faces are my own.

With April and hot weather around the corner, 

looking forward to a bountiful yield of delicious, juicy mangoes. 

Mango is native to the Indian sub continent 

and India consumes nearly all it produces.
